Most firming actives are made for the face and get borrowed for the neck. Matribust® was developed by SILAB, a French active-ingredient maker, specifically for the neck and décolleté.

What is Matribust?

  • A natural firming active from SILAB, made from a co-product of jojoba (the oil cake left after jojoba oil is pressed).
  • INCI name: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Extract.
  • It is not a peptide. Its active molecules are galacto-oligosaccharides (plant sugars), drawn out of the jojoba by an enzymatic process.
  • SILAB designed it for neck and décolleté firming products, to help sagging skin look firmer and more toned.

Retinol is a vitamin A active used across the face for lines and texture. Many people find it can be drying or irritating, especially on thin skin. Matribust® is a plant-derived active designed specifically for the neck and décolleté.

Matribust vs peptides

Peptides are short chains of amino acids and they're common in face firming creams. Matribust® isn't one. It comes from jojoba seed and works through plant sugars, and it was built for the neck.
